Words just can’t express how I feel about this community we call Arden. Last night many families and staff showed up to support a staff member who has lost the use of his legs. Together, we raised over $2700.00 (rough total at time of writing, as some items from the concession are being returned). This will help his family as Mr. G transitions to G.F. Strong in Vancouver. Thank you so much for your generous support and obvious kindness.
You should have received an email from Andrea regarding an Arden clothing sale to assist the PAC in financially supporting our new big toy. Please make note of the order dates (Feb. 8 - Feb. 21). I will know at the end of February how much the district has for us to spend and the extras will be purchased by the PAC. The plan, at this time, is to relocate the site to the primary field as there is nothing for the young ones to play on. Then each side of the school will have a structure to play on.
A reminder that we have two short weeks in a row, with this coming Friday as a Pro. D. Day and the following Monday as Family Day.
The open gym before school this year is a big hit. At present the primaries have 3 mornings and the intermediates have 2. I will be having a discussion with staff on Tues. Feb. 12, at our staff meeting, to see if these days will change. Once we have made a decision, I will send out a revised schedule.
NEXT WEEKS EVENTS:
Fri. Feb 15 Pro. D. day, no school for students
Mon. Feb. 18 Family Day, no school
Tues. Feb. 19-Thurs. Feb. 21 Kindergarten Registration, at office from 8:00 am-2:30 pm
Take care out in the snow this weekend.
