from the Vancouver Island Regional Library :)
We have two programs that will be of interest to your students. The Summer Reading Club is open to kids ages 0-12 and encourages summer reading as well as visits to the library.
The Teen Summer Challenge is open to students ages 12-18 and provides a set of fun tasks to do. This is a great way to keep teens busy over the summer, and encourage them to read and engage with the library. Kids who are 12 can do either or both programs.
The attached newsletters describe the two programs. If you are able to pass them along to the appropriate teachers or send them home with report cards, I would be very grateful.
Thanks so much for your support of the library, have a great summer, and I look forward to working with you again next year.
