The school believes that this code is a guideline and is primarily a teaching tool

    • Uses garbage cans and recycles
    • Respects nature
    • Respects property of school and others
    • Eats/drinks food and beverage inside
    • Refrains from chewing gum unless permission has been granted
    • Uses a respectful voice and body language
    • Listens respectfully
    • Is compliant with staff requests
    • Displays willingness to work and play with others fairly
    • Respects differences in others
    • Makes good choices for a healthy self
    • Avoids gossip and social isolation
    • Gives best effort to school work
    • Accepts responsibility and tells truth
    • Removes headwear and stands for O Canada



    • Wears appropriate clothing at school*
    • Keeps personal electronic devices put away during the school day unless permission has been granted
    • Spends recess and lunch outdoors **
    • Respects others' right to learn
    • Uses calm words to solve tense situations

    • Keeps hands and feet to self
    • Uses sticks/rocks/ sports equipment appropriately***
    • Rides wheeled toys with helmet and walks wheeled vehicles in crowded areas
    • Does not bully or "pick on" others
    • Walks inside and when on pavement

We also support the Human Rights Code and prohibit discrimination based on the following:

Unacceptable behaviour including bullying, cyberbullying, harassment, intimidation, threatening or violent behaviours while at school, at a school-related activity or in other circumstances where engaging in the activity will have an impact on the school environment will not be tolerated. 

*Appropriate refers to, not distracting, no profanity, no racial and gender intolerance and no promotion of illicit substances.     

**Students learn best when they engage in healthy exercise, under special circumstances students may be allowed to remain indoors with an "in-pass"
