Grads it's Time to Sign Up for Activities-Sign Up- extended to Friday, February 22nd at noon

GRADS it is time to sign-up for upcoming activities.
On the school computers, go to H drive and choose the first folder 0DessertNight and find the Dessert Night 2019 SignUp
Complete it to sign up for:
Spin-A-Thon at the Comox Rec Centre Sunday, March 3rd from 6am to 6pm (hour long timeslots to be determined closer to the date) $10
Bowling with Special Olympic Athletes Wednesday, April 24 from 4:30 to 5:30 at Codes Country Lanes $10
Grad Dessert Night Wednesday, March 13 from 6:30 to 7:30 in the gym and the Dance is 7:30 to 10pm in the MPR
Tailgate BBQ held Friday, May 17 at noon in the bus loop Don't forget to vote for members of your grad class who are 'Most Likely To' or are a 'Celebrity Look-A-Like' Bring the original or send a digital copy of a baby photo to lisa.nicholls@sd71.bc.ca and REMIND your parents we need Kindergarten or Grade 1 CLASS photos too

Salad Bar Ordering Link (available February 1, 2019)

Each week the salad bar will offer a wide assortment of veggies PLUS at least two protein options (eggs, cheese, seeds, beans) PLUS one carbohydrate (either whole grain buns, pita, wraps, noodles, taco chips, or potatoes) PLUS delicious homemade salad dressings. Our meal themes, like Mexican and Asian, vary from week to week so the protein and carbohydrate options are a surprise. The meal is a bargain at $4.00! If your child has a gluten sensitivity/intolerance and you would like them to have a gluten free carbohydrate option you MUST email the Salad Bar Team at Isfeld saladbar@gmail.com in advance, when you complete your ordering so we can plan accordingly. Please note the kitchen is NOT an allergy free zone or gluten-free kitchen.

Click on "click here to register" (under the login boxes)
Enter the ACCESS CODE: ISFELD
Add your name and info
Click on Students, and add each child/student name (if more than one student, click on insert new for each one)
Go to Manage Orders, click on salad bar and enter 1 in box for any date offered you want
Click on "Pay with Paypal"; you will have option to pay directly via Paypal if you have a Paypal account, or via credit card

ISFELD GOES GREEN WITH LUNCHTIME SALAD BAR

In the new year Mark R Isfeld with be the first secondary school in the Comox Valley to offer students a salad bar program for lunch. The upcoming once-a-week Salad Bar will feature a wide selection of vegetables to boost nutritious choices for students. For $4.00 students and staff will be able to fill a heaping plate full of fresh veggies, 2 proteins, and a starch or carb. There will also be theme days built around different cultures like Mexican and Asian salads. Ingredients for the Salad Bar will be organic when available and locally-sourced from Comox Valley farms.

School of Rock the Musical

Rock out with students from Highland, Isfeld, and Vanier in the amazing production of School of Rock, playing at Highland Secondary March 5-9. All shows start at 7:00pm. Tickets are for sale in the office by cash or cheque (payable to School District 71) only.

Mark R. Isfeld Secondary School is an inclusive school with almost 1,000 students from grades 8 through 12. We are a dual track school with English and French Immersion programs. We have an International program which allows us to host students from many countries, a vital and active Fine Arts program, a successful Athletics program with more than 30 competitive teams and a full Applied Skills program.
